Obituary* Obituary for Susan McIntire:
Age 90, passed away Sunday evening at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after several weeks illness. She was born Nov. 15, 1881 in Texas, the daughter of Johnson and Mary Elizabeth Brady McIntire. On Nov. 14, 1919 she was married to John T. Horner in New York City and came to Ann Arbor in 1932. Mr. Horner passed away Oct. 16, 1940. Mrs. Horner was a former Ann Arbor antique dealer and was a member and former president of the Antique Dealer's Association. She formerly operated the Colonial Tea Room at 303 N. Division. Mrs. Horner was a member of the Washtenaw Historical Society and the Michigan Historical Society. She was also interested in the University of Michigan Botanical Gardens. Survivors include: a sister, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hembree and a brother, Walter A. McIntire both of 303 N. Division; several nephews and nieces, including Walter E. McIntire and Daniel J. McIntire both of Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Muehlig Chapel with Rev. Norbert Mueller officiating. Interment will be made in Gary, Oklahoma. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening.
