Obituary* | Obituary for Sarah Frances Collins: Sarah Frances Collins was born Aug. 11, 1841, in Ohio, and departed this life Jan. 8, 1930, being at the time of her death, 88 years, 4 months and 11 days old. She obeyed the gospel under the preaching of Alvah Gregory in the year 1889 and has always since lived a devoted Christian life. It can truly be said of her, "She hath done what she could." On Dec. 14, 1900, she was united in marriage to Henry Carlock. She leaves to mourn her departure her devoted husband, two step daughters, Mrs. Clara Harris and Mrs. Mary Harris, both of Gentry, on whom she bestowed a motherly care and love since they were quite young; six nieces, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a very great host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Old Brick church and the body was tenderly laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. "Aunt Fannie" will be sadly missed, for she was loved by all who knew her.13 |

Dr. Brown, a Kansas Western Dental College graduate, compiled an envious list of achievements during his residence in Fairview, a record which included the charter membership in the Fairview Rotary club, Past presidency of the Masonic lodge, member of the District Dental Society, Rainbow Society "dad" for 10 years, and solid citizen of the Fairview community. Services for Doctor Brown were held Monday, May 21, at 2:00 P.M., in the First Methodist Church of Fairview. Reverend Leonard Cronin officiated with interment taking place in the Enid cemetery.
