Mrs Harvey (Della Evelyn) Long died Saturday, Mar 20, at her home in Worth. Although she had been ill and had returned only recently from the Missouri Methodist Hospital in St Joseph, death came unexpectedly. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Andrews Funeral Home in Grant City conducted by Rev Roy Lamb of Denver. Burial was in the Grant City Cemetery. She is survived by her husband; four children, Mrs Mildred Fickle, Wichita, Kan, Mrs Mabel Wieser, St Joseph, Mo, and Burl and Helen Long; 2 sisters, Mrs Cora Giesken, Clyde, Mo, and Mrs Neva Burrell, Bedford, Ia; one brother, Howard Phillips, Ravenwood, Mo; and five grandchildren. Mrs Long was born October 23, 1880, at Worth, Mo, the daughter of Isaac and Rebecca Phillips. She was married to Harvey Long on March 17, 1908, and was a charter member of the Worth Methodist Church. 2 |
