Obituary* Obituary for Curtis Clinton Osborn:
Curtis Clinton Osborn, 70, died August 9 in the Veteran's Hospital in Kansas City.

The son of George William and Dora Alice Canady Osborn, he was reared and lived most of his life in Gentry County. He served in the armed forces during World War II, then returned to join his brother in farming. Later, he lived and worked in St. Joseph and surrounding areas. He returned to Albany for his retirement in 1973.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glenn Avery Osborn. Surviving are his two sisters, Mrs. Alice Carlock, Nebraska City, Nebr. and Mrs. Ola Bevington, Mt. Ayr, Ia; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Osborn, Albany; six nieces and nephews, Clifford Carlock, Independence, Dorothy Murphy, Marietta, Ga., Harry Bevington, Des Moines, Ia., Gerald Osborn, Kansas City, Marilyn Sipes, Albany and Carolyn Heyle, Bethany; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Cochell Funeral Home at 2 p.m., August 11 with the Rev. Homer Sharp officiating. Interment was in the Greenridge Cemetery.2

Obituary* Obituary for Glenn Avery Osborn:
Glenn Avery Osborn, son of William and Dora (Canaday) Osborn, was born March 13, 1912, at McCurry in Gentry county, Mo. He entered into rest on April 4, 1965, in the Gentry County Memorial Hospital in Albany, Mo., at the age of 53 years and 22 days.

He was united in marriage with Mildred Lorraine Bender, April 8, 1939 and to this union four children were born. Those who survive him besides his wife, are Gerald, Marilyn and Carolyn all of the home. An infant son, Leland Ray, passed away Sept. 23, 1946.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Allie Carlock of Hamburg, Ia; Mrs. Ola Bevington of Mt. Ayr, Ia; one brother, Curtis of St. Joseph; and one niece and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by the infant son, and his father and mother.

He spent his entire life in Gentry county engaged in farming until he bacame unable to continue his active work the past two years.

Avery was converted at an early age at the old Greenridge church, west of Gentry, and he had renewed his convenant with his Lord during his recent illness.

During his illness he was so very patient and uncomplaining. His greatest enjoyment was made possible by the visits and thoughtfulness of his many relatives and friends. He was a devoted husband and father and leaves a host of relatives and friends who will always remember him through the years.2
