years 5 months and 15 days. She was the last of a family of nine children born to Patterson and Ann Cadle.

Mrs Batman was converted at the early age of ten years, uniting with the Freewill Baptist church at the Dye school house. Later when the Worth Baptist church was organized she was one of the charter members and she transferred her membership to the Grant City Baptist church when the family moved to Grant City on 1919.

She was Married January 2, 1881 to John Allen Batman and to this union ten children were born and all are living and present at the funeral services.

The children are: Mrs Kate Ferguson, Worth; Mrs Maude Evans, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs Alta Craven, Denver; Mrs Louie Long, Torrington, Wyo; Samuel Batman, Oregon, Mo; Mrs Bertha Corridon, Lathrop, Mo; Floyd Batman, Worth; Lowell Batman, Torrington, Wyo; Mrs Alma Trump, Worth; Miss Mildred Batman of the home; also fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr Batman preceded her in death April 12, 1933.

She bore her long illness with much patience and cheerfulness, always thoughtful and considerate of other people, having spent her entire life in the welfare and best interests of her family and friends.

Surrounded by her family, she quietly and peacefully passed away, secure in the knowledge that.³

OREGON, Mo. -- Samuel P. Batman, 82, died Monday at a Wadsworth, Kan., hospital. Mr. Batman had been a patient there since last April when he suffered burns at his home.

He was born at Worth, Mo., and lived here most of his life. He was a retired theater operator. Mr Batman was a member of the Oregon Masonic Lodge and a member of the Oregon Post No. 190, American Legion. He was a World War I veteran.

Surviving are one son, Eugene M. Batman, Kansas City, Mo; one brother, Lowell Batman, Denver, Colo; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Trump, Worth, and Mrs. Alta Croven, Denver, Mo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pettijohn-Eiser chapel here. The Rev. Robert Parks will officiate. Burial will be in Oregon Cemetery with Masonic services.²

Floyd Demos Batman died May 6 at the Ringgold County hospital, Mt. Ayr, Ia. He was 77 years old.

The son of J.A. and Rena Batman, he was born on a farm one mile north of Worth, Mo., July 29, 1894. Batman was one of ten children; his parents and six of the immediate family preceded him in death.

He served during World War I and was a member of the American Legion. In 1911 he joined the Worth Baptist church and was made a deacon in 1947.

In October 1919, he married Luella Moore. They have lived on a farm close to Batman's birthplace for 36 years.

Survivors are his wife, Luella; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Cravens of Denver, Mo. and Mrs. Alma Trump, Worth, Mo; two brothers, Lowell Batman, Denver Colorado and Sam Batman, Oregon, Mo; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, May 9, at the Worth Baptist church with Rev. Archie Findley officiating. Burial was in the Grant City cemetery.²
