Obituary for Eli Penner:

ELI PENNER

Eli Penner, 80, died March 10 in Fairview Hospital.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. March 13 at the First Baptist Church of Fairview with Rev. Steve Graham officiating. Burial was in Cedar Cemetery under direction of Fairview Funeral Home.

Penner was born Sept. 15, 1903, in McPherson, Kan., to Fred and Anna Eck Penner Sr.

He married Edna Mae Becker March 12, 1932 at Watonga. She died in October 1963.

He was a carpenter, affiliated with the Baptist Church and member of the Isabella school board.

He was preceeded (sic) in death by his parents, wife, a sister and brother.

Survivors are one son, Kenneth Eugene Penner, Minneola, Kan; three daughters, Joy Belle Koehn, Ringwood, Jo Ann Schmidt, Ingalls, Kan., and Velda Wimer, Fariview (sic); two brothers, John and Fred Penner, both of Isabella; five sisters, Frances Boehs, Isabella, Lena Koehn, Macon, Miss., Anna Nichols, Isabella, Elsie Nightingale, Fairview and Ruby Boehs, Isabella; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Fairview Hospital Foundation.²
