Isaac Horner

M, #13355, b. 17DA 4MO 1678, d. 24DA 11MO 1760

Parents

Family 1: Elizabeth Sykes (d. 3DA 4MO 1712)

Family 2: Elenor Bowne

Birth17DA 2MO 1668Isaac Horner was born 17DA 2MO 1668 in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England.1
Birth17DA 4MO 1678He was born 17DA 4MO 1678. Two different dates for Isaac have been found. One comes from the testimony that was written for him when he died. The second comes from a book written by William Hornor. The testimony states that his mother is Mary. If the date of birth in the testimony is correct, then Mary could not have been his mother because his father, John, and Mary were not yet married. John's first wife, Sarah Wilbberforce was still living and would have to be his wife. For the date given in William Hornor's book would be consistent with Mary being his mother. Hornor did not cite the source of his data and it has not yet been found. So either the testimony has the right date and the wrong mother; or Hornor has the right date and the testimony has the right mother.2
