- [S2883] It is not stated where the marriage actually took place. The marriage is recorded in in the records of the Union Methodist Episcopal Church of Philadelphia and the minister who performed the marriage, Charles Pitman, was the minister of this church at the time. However, Charles Pitman was born in Burlington County and had traveled a lot in New Jersey prior to coming to this church in 1833. So the marriage could have taken place in the Union Methodist Church in Philadelphia or somewhere in Burlington County, New Jersey..

- [S2973] Another account of the marriage of James Hendrickson and Luella Hornerwas published in The Freehold Transcript and The Monmouth Inquirer (Freehold, New Jersey), 27 Oct 1899. In this article, the husband's name was given in error as James Johnson. This article states the couple met, drove off, were married and returned. Luella's mother refused to accept Hendrickson and threatened to have him arrested. The mother obviously changed her mind since they were all living together in the 1900 census. Note that this article places the date of marriage as Monday, 23 October 1899 which is one day earlier than another article publishing the marriage announcement on November 2.

- [S2982] According to the 1900 Census, Katie was born a few years after her father's (Melvin Mitchell) death. That means one of the following: (1) I do not know when her father died, (2) the 1900 Census has her birth year wrong, or (3) Melvin Mitchell is not her father.
