NoteWhen I asked about Peter, Lillian Mastre wrote the following:

"Pete is buried in the Mennonite Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Id. He has cancer (melanoma) and had surgery and everything was just fine. After two years when he went back for a routine yearly check-up they said he was fine but since it was an anniversary date they would take an X-ray. This was June 1, 1999. Well the next day he received a phone call telling him he would need a cat scan. The cat scan showed the cancer had spread everywhere -- he died July 13, 1999.

"They told him he'd probably live 3 months. As you can see he had a very young family. It was hardly time enough to adjust.

"He had rheumatoid arthritis and we wonder, if, as these new aches and pains came on he just attributed them to arthritis.

"But we found out God's ways are not our ways and we had to say "Thy Will Be Done." We also found out that life does go on even when we thought it hardly could."1
